During the night, Moscow's aerial assaults have caused power cuts in extensive areas of the capital city, Kyiv.

Several individuals were wounded while local people in the city's east were experienced blackouts and encountered disruption to drinking water, per reports from city officials.

Meanwhile, a minor was fatally injured in a different aerial attack in the Zaporizhzhia area in the country's south-east, as reported by area administrators.

Moscow has intensified strikes on electrical systems over the last fortnight, while the country's government has demanded "real steps" from allies to increase pressure on Russia.

"What's needed is not superficial actions but strong steps - from the America, the EU and the major economies - in delivering air defence systems and enforcing penalties," he wrote in a social media post.

Officials stated that hundreds of unmanned aircraft and several dozen missiles struck energy facilities, characterizing such assaults as "premeditated" and against "critical infrastructure" as winter approaches.

Government representatives said Russia was "launching a major assault" and technical staff were laboring to fix the damage.

A wave of strikes struck power facilities and apartment buildings in Kyiv.

Multiple people injured in the attacks on the capital have been hospitalized, as confirmed by city authorities.

The assaults come after periods of bombing campaigns in the region, sections of which are currently controlled by Moscow's military.

National leaders told reporters that Russia was deliberately attempting to damage the country's energy grid, with assaults already disrupting gas facilities.
